2. Overview
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
This privacy policy applies to all data collected through our website and related services. By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
3. Data collection on this website
3.1 Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits to us.
The following data is collected:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL (previously visited page)
- IP address of the accessing device (anonymized)
- Date and time of the request
- Pages visited and data volume transferred
This data is used exclusively for ensuring the technical operation of the website and is automatically deleted after 30 days. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
3.2 Hosting
This website is hosted by Microsoft Azure. The servers are located within the European Union. Azure processes data on our behalf based on a data processing agreement (DPA). Microsoft Privacy Statement.
4. Cookies
Our website sets no cookies. Only your choice in the cookie banner is stored in your browser's localStorage, so that the question is asked once.
4.1 Types of cookies used
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cookie-consent | Essential cookies | Stores your cookie preference (accepted/rejected) | Persistent (localStorage) |
Analytics cookies are only set after you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage.
5. Analytics
No analytics or tracking services are used on this website. Your visit is not measured, no profiles are built and no behavioural data is collected.
6. Contact form
If you contact us via the contact form, your details will be stored for the purpose of processing your request.
The data you provide in the contact form (name, email, phone, subject, message) is transmitted via email and stored for as long as necessary to process your inquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract performance) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
7. Donations
To process your donation and send you a confirmation, we ask for your name and email address. These are stored together with the amount, the date, the purpose you selected and the payment reference of the transaction. Your card or account details never reach us: they are processed solely by our payment provider, Stripe.
7.1 Donation receipt
If you would like a donation receipt for the tax authorities, we additionally ask for your full address — and, for a one-off donation, your telephone number. Those details are legally required to issue a valid receipt and are only requested when you tick the box for it. If you do not, we do not ask for them.
7.2 Storage and retention
Your donation details are stored in our own secured database (Google Firebase), located within the European Union. Only board members we have authorised have access. We keep this data so that payments can be traced and misuse prevented, and because tax law obliges us to.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the donation), Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (statutory retention obligation for financial records) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in preventing fraud).
We keep donation records for 10 years, counted from the end of the financial year in which the donation was made (art. L123-22 Code de commerce). Data not covered by that obligation is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed.
8. Third-party services
8.1 Fonts
The typefaces used on this site are served from our own server. No connection to an external provider is made and your IP address is not passed to any third party.
8.2 OpenStreetMap
We use OpenStreetMap to display maps. When you open a page containing a map, your IP address is sent to servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation in order to load the map tiles. OpenStreetMap Privacy Policy.
8.3 Stripe
We use Stripe to process donations. Your card or account details are handled directly by Stripe and never reach our servers. The details of the donation itself — name, email address, amount and, if you requested a receipt, your address and telephone number — are passed to us by Stripe and stored as described under "Donations". Stripe Privacy Policy.
8.4 Cloudflare Turnstile
Our contact form is protected against automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. During this check your IP address and technical details about your browser are transmitted to Cloudflare. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse). Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
